Office Technology - AAS or Certificate

The Associate of Applied Science in Office Technology is focused on providing students with a foundation for entry level positions in office technology. The AAS in Office Technology explores word processing, business spreadsheets, data management, and general office support. Technology specific courses are combined with general education requirements to prepare graduates for employment in a variety of office environments.

Program Outcomes:

• Student will demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Student will model competency in preparing business communications.
• Student will demonstrate knowledge of preparing financial statements for sole proprietorship.
• Student will demonstrate basic office procedures in today’s work place.
• Student will demonstrate an understanding of general management principles

Program Characteristics

The AAS in Office Technology takes approximately two years to complete. Students are required to take general education requirement, now called essential studies, courses to ensure a broad overview of education is provided.

The Office Technology faculty are professionals who have been employed in private and public sectors of education and business. They continue to participate in professional development and scholarly activity to enhance their knowledge and to serve as role models for lifelong learning.
