
The Valerie Merrick Memorial Library serves as an academic/public tribal library providing a reference and research center for students, faculty, and residents of Spirit Lake Nation and the surrounding communities. The library continues to provide all services following the Covid and CCCC protocols. Holdings include a variety of materials, including books, newspapers, magazines and DVDs. Special collections include our Native American section, featuring many well-known native author. Our Professional Section contains reference materials and textbooks that support our teaching staff. Other sections of our library are devoted to children and young adults. Offering many different Books and DVDs for younger ages.
The library offers public access to our computer lab, fax and copying services.
Family Night and Dakota Culture Night are some of the events held at VMML
